Did Saudi Iqama Renewal Fees Reduced for 2025?

Share

On January 2nd, 2025, the ABSHER Business platform introduced fees for seven services related to Saudi Iqama or residence Permits for the companies that use the ABSHER Business Platform. It is noteworthy that people might think of these fees as renewal costs that are government fees paid to the government.

ABSHER is a platform introduced in the mid-2000s as a single platform for Individuals and businesses to get government services on the go. Since then the platform has evolved and has offered many other services related to government authorities. ABSHER individual is free to use for Citizens and Residents. However, it is not free for the businesses.

Did the Saudi Iqama fees actually drop?

Saudi Gazette reported that ABSHER’s business platform has revealed fees related to its services provided to companies that use the platform. The platform announced the fees for,

  1. Extending the Exit-Entry Visa: 103 SAR
  2. Renewal of Iqama: 51.75 SAR
  3. Final Exit Visa: 70 SAR
  4. Issuance of Iqama: 51.75 SAR
  5. Updating Passport Information for Expat Workers: 69 SAR
  6. Requesting Report on Employee: 28.75 SAR

Now you might be thinking is it just the good news of 2025 that fees have dropped? These revised fees are not the government fees but the platform fees that will paid to the ABSHER Platform for using these services online.

What’s the Difference?

The ABSHER platform for business is not free to use. The businesses have to pay fees for the services that they may need to obtain from the platform. The above announced fees are the fees paid to the platform for using its service. Since the platform is separately charging these fees, the government fees stand the same.

  1. Extending the exit reentry visa: 200 SAR
  2. Renewal of Iqama: 650 SAR
  3. Final Exit Visa: No Fees
  4. Issuance of Iqama: 750 SAR
  5. Updating Passport information: No Fees
  6. Requesting Report on Employee: No Fees.
